Tiraspol. Suvorov Square. Start
Suvorov Square is the heart of Tiraspol and Nistrenia. Around the square there is a monument to Suvorov, De Wollant Square, embankment, Memorial of Glory, the Palace of Children and Youth Creativity, cinema and the Supreme Council of the Pridnestrovie. The square got its present-day appearance in the 1970-ies after large-scale restructuring of the town center.

Suspension bridge near Mocharovka village
In the vicinity of the village of Mocharovka there is a suspension bridge where you can not only take beautiful photos, but also relax comfortably. There is a table, benches, barbecue area and large swings at the entrance to the bridge.

Karmanovo village
Until 1946, the village of Karmanovo was a German colony of Neudorf. The building of its church was built in Neudorf in 1854 by the efforts of German settlers for Lutheran prayers. During the Soviet era, it was used as a community center, then was turned into a House of Young Naturalists. In the late 20th century the сhurch building was eventually transferred to the Karmanovo Orthodox community. Starting from 1997, the parishioners gradually got the church in a good condition.
On August 27, 2006, the church was consecrated by Bishop Justinian of Tiraspol and Dubossary in honor of the Kazan Icon of the Mother of God.

Three-tier waterfall in the Tоmashlyk valley
A 10-metre waterfall is a jewel of the green valley Tomashlyk close to Grigoriopol. 200 years ago there was the Chernaya River. Over time, it completely dried up, giving people a wonderful opportunity to observe a rare waterfall.

Fake house in the village of Rogi
In 2019, a new highlight appeared in the village of Rogi – a fake house, which was built specifically for the filming of the feature film “Milk of Bird”. The author’s film drama was filmed by the Russian film studio “Koktebel”. Filming is over. And the cinematographers left a house with a collection of folk art and household items as a gift to the residents of the village of Rogi. Employees of the local House of Culture have supplemented it with more interesting exhibits of folk craftsmen and now they conduct excursions here.

Rock monastery in Rogi village
The famous monastery in Dubossary district near the village of Rogi is the oldest Orthodox monastery in Pridnestrovie. Although scientists still do not know the exact date of its construction, it is believed that it is no later than the 16th century. The monastery is carved just inside the rock. A church and three monk’s cells were built here. Inside the monastery you can see mysterious symbols, writings and drawings carved on the walls and on the ceiling. There is also a small waterfall not far from the monastery.

Dubossary Zoo
Private Zoo was opened in Dubossary in 2010 with the support of local authorities. Animals from different regions of Russia, Ukraine and Moldova were put here. Most of the fauna are representatives of the “feathered world”: pheasants, guineafowls, swans, peacocks, parrots and black ostriches. They live in a special enclosures and can walk in the open air. The Zoo is also home to many mammal animals: foxes, roe deer, ferrets, Vietnamese pigs, ponies, etc. In total, there are about 40 enclosures in the zoological park.

Dubossary Hydro Power Plant
In 1977, Dubossary HPP was presented at the exhibition of achievements of the USSR’s national economy as a power plant with a high degree of reliability and automation. The HPP team was included in the Republican Book of Honor of Leading Enterprises, and the plant was included in the All-Union Tourist Route. The dam of the hydroelectric power station is adjacent to the Dubossary reservoir, which is one of the most picturesque places in the entire district. Rich nature and picturesque views have always attracted a lot of tourists.

Bychok village. Limestone mines
The village of Bychok is located on the banks of the Dniester River on an impressive rocky hill. Until 1990s large mines operated in Bychok: there they extracted high quality white ashlar limestone, which is commonly used in the construction.
Mine galleries form the biggest in the region complex of artificial catacombs, which are particularly interesting to thrill-seekers from Nistrenia and other countries.

Kitskany Bridgehead
The Kitskany Bridgehead was a strategic location of the Soviet army during the World War II. The bridgehead was captured by the troops of the 3rd Ukrainian Front during the Odessa operation of 1944. It had the size up to 18 kilometers along the line and depths of 6–10 kilometers. Fierce battles for the bridgehead lasted more than four months. To engrave the heroism of Soviet soldiers on the memory of descendants, a 35-metre memorial “Obelisk of Glory” in the form of a concrete bayonet, made by architect S.M. Shoichet, was inaugurated at the highest point of the bridgehead on the 9th of May 1972. The monument today is very popular – its observation deck offers spectacular scenery of the surrounding area.

Centuries-old oaks
Near the village of Kitskany, the oldest tree described in the territory of Nistrenia, the Pedunculate Oak, over 315 years old, has been preserved. The diameter of the trunk of this tree at chest level is 135 cm, and the height is only 19 meters.
Next to this old-timer there are 2 more oaks, possibly of the same age. The most spectacular of them has a forked trunk and a spreading crown, and it grows right in the middle of the field.
