Founded in 1954, the Kamenka Cannery occupies a scenic position on the banks of the Dniester River in the most beautiful area of northern Pridnestrovie. Since its establishment, the plant has specialized in producing canned meat alongside fruit and vegetable preserves, juices and compotes — a product range that draws directly on the agricultural abundance of the surrounding region’s fertile soils.
The Kamenka Cannery’s advantageous location within Pridnestrovie’s most productive agricultural zone, combined with its well-developed infrastructure, has enabled it to grow into one of the leading regional producers of canned goods over the seven decades of its operation. The plant underwent a significant transformation in 2005, when modern high-technology production lines imported from Italy, Hungary, France and Switzerland were put into operation — an investment that elevated the facility’s capabilities to contemporary European industrial standards while substantially expanding production capacity.
The enterprise occupies a substantial territory of 35 hectares, equipped with its own independent water supply and water purification system. The production facilities are organized across three main technological complexes alongside various auxiliary operations, with key workshops including mechanical-and-electrical, boiler, transport, engineering networks and repair-and-construction departments — together forming a comprehensively self-sufficient industrial operation that has been a cornerstone of Kamenka’s economy for generations.
