17:00 — Depart Tiraspol and head north into the Rybnitsa district.
19:30 — Arrive in Stroentsy village and check into the cozy Chalet in Stroentsy (3 Molodezhnaya Str., Stroentsy village, Rybnitsa district) — a comfortable 4-bed chalet that puts you right in the heart of one of Pridnestrovie’s most scenically extraordinary villages. (Cost: 40 rubles/night)
An early night in Stroentsy, with the Dniester valley outside the window and two days of northern discovery ahead.
Day 2 — Stroentsy and Rashkov: Imperial Heritage and Ancient Multicultural History
09:00 — Breakfast at the chalet.
10:00 — Walking tour of Stroentsy village — a place shaped by the vision and investment of Russian Field Marshal Prince Peter Wittgenstein, who fell in love with this landscape in the 19th century and left behind a remarkable legacy of aristocratic architecture and cultivated natural beauty. (Guide: 20–25 rubles/person for 1.5 hours)
The Stroentsy tour visits six remarkable landmarks. The iconic Tower of the Winds (Stroentsy village, Rybnitsa district) opens the walk — one of the most architecturally distinctive imperial follies in northern Pridnestrovie, its elegant silhouette instantly recognizable against the hillside.
Just steps away, the sweeping Grape Terraces (Stroentsy village) cascade down the slope above the river — row upon row of Wittgenstein-era vines carved into the hillside, a living legacy of the viticultural ambitions of the imperial estate.
After 1.8 km, the romantic Countess’s Gazebo (Rybnitsa district, Stroentsy village) is a delicate aristocratic remnant of the estate’s social life — a viewpoint of extraordinary charm where the Dniester valley spreads out in all its glory.
Just 2.8 km further, the “Teplitsa” Springs System (Rybnitsa district, Stroentsy village) delivers some of the purest natural spring water in the district — a refreshing and historically beloved natural landmark.
After 570 meters, the Church of St. Michael the Archangel (Polevaya Str., Stroentsy village) — a parish church whose construction began in 1829 under Wittgenstein’s patronage — brings the spiritual dimension of the estate’s legacy beautifully to life.
Just 1.7 km away, the charming Water Mill (21a 1 Maya Str., Stroentsy village) stands beside the millstream as one of the most photographed and beloved rural heritage objects in the village — a working relic of the agricultural economy that once sustained this community.
13:00 — Lunch in Stroentsy.
14:00 — Departure for Rashkov village — one of the oldest settlements in Pridnestrovie, with a documented history since 1402 and a remarkable concentration of Orthodox, Catholic and Jewish heritage within a short walking distance.
14:30 — Walking tour of Rashkov village — seven extraordinary sites that together paint a vivid portrait of a village shaped by centuries of multicultural coexistence. (Guide: 5 rubles/person per hour)
The Church of the Holy Trinity (Rashkov village, Kamenka district) — one of the oldest churches in Pridnestrovie, housing the venerated icon of the Spas Nerukotvornyi — opens the Rashkov sequence with a stop of profound spiritual and historical significance.
Just 15 km from Stroentsy and 530 meters into the Rashkov walk, the St. Cajetan Catholic Church stands as a rare testament to the Polish community that once flourished in this ancient village — a Catholic church in an Orthodox landscape, a reminder of centuries of peaceful coexistence.
After 420 meters, the haunting Ruins of the Synagogue (Bazarnaya Str., Rashkov village) bear silent witness to the once-thriving Jewish community whose presence shaped Rashkov’s identity for centuries.
Just 31 meters further, Panska Krynitsa — a legendary natural spring steeped in local folklore — offers the freshest and most storied water on the route.
After 650 meters, Chervona (Red) Rock (Rashkov village) rises dramatically above the village — one of the most striking natural landmarks in the Kamenka district, its rust-red face visible from a considerable distance.
Just 62 meters away, the atmospheric Ruins of the Intercession Church (Pokrovskaya Str., Rashkov village) add a layer of melancholy beauty — a hauntingly preserved remnant of a once-active parish.
The Rashkov tour concludes 1.5 km further at the Museum of Hero of the Soviet Union F.I. Zharchinsky (35 Fiodora Zharchinskogo Str., Rashkov village) — an intimate museum honoring one of the village’s most celebrated wartime sons, his story of courage connecting ancient Rashkov to the defining struggles of the 20th century.
16:30 — Departure for Valya-Adynka village.
17:00 — Arrival at the Cossack Guest House (81 Mira Str., Valya-Adynka village, Kamenka district) — a wonderfully atmospheric rural accommodation where Cossack traditions, warm hospitality and the authentic life of the Pridnestrovian countryside come together under one roof.
18:00 — Dinner at the guest house — dishes prepared from natural local products in a setting of genuine rural tradition.
Day 3 — Valya-Adynka and Konstantinovka: Grottos, Sacred Sites and a Garden Nursery
09:00 — Breakfast at the Cossack Guest House.
10:00 — Walking tour of Valya-Adynka village — two distinctive stops that give this village its unique character. (Guide: 5 rubles/person per hour)
The Grotto of Ustym Karmaliuk (Valya-Adynka village, Kamenka district) — a cave cut through solid rock associated with the celebrated Ukrainian folk hero and outlaw — is one of the most evocative and atmospheric natural sites in the Kamenka district. Dark, cool and charged with the spirit of a man who became a symbol of resistance across the entire region, the grotto rewards every visitor who makes the effort to reach it.
Just 4.4 km away, the Church of Saint Paraskeva of the Balkans (37 Zarechnaya Str., Valya-Adynka village, Kamenka district) brings the morning to a beautiful spiritual close — a church dedicated to the beloved Orthodox healer saint whose quiet, village-set presence feels entirely natural and deeply moving after the drama of the grotto.
13:00 — Lunch.
14:00 — During the warm season, the route offers a delightful bonus destination: the Kamenka Nursery (Konstantinovka village, Kamenka district) — a living green space where plants, trees and flowers cultivated in the northern district’s unique microclimate invite visitors to browse, admire and perhaps take home a living souvenir of the Pridnestrovian countryside.
17:00 — Departure back to Tiraspol — three days of village life, Cossack hospitality, ancient springs and rural northern landscapes safely stored in memory.
