Church of Saints Cyril and Methodius the Equal-to-the-Apostles

May 24 holds a doubly significant place in the calendar of Dnestrovsk, marking both the anniversary of the town’s founding and the Day of Slavic Writing and Culture, dedicated to the great enlighteners Cyril and Methodius who created the Slavic alphabet and laid the foundations of Slavic Christian civilization. It was entirely fitting, therefore, that on this meaningful date in the year 2000, a church named in honor of these Saints Equal-to-the-Apostles was inaugurated in the town.

Beyond its primary worship space, the church building serves the community through a comprehensive range of religious and educational facilities: a baptistery for sacramental purposes, a library supporting spiritual study, a Sunday school nurturing the faith of younger parishioners, and a dedicated choir space all contribute to making this an active and multifaceted center of parish life. The church is further distinguished by its bell tower housing seven bells of varying sizes, whose harmonious peals mark the liturgical hours and call the faithful to worship.
