Memorial Sign to Grigoriopol Policemen

A memorial sign honoring employees of the Grigoriopol District Department of Internal Affairs who died in the line of duty stands on the territory of the park near the regional department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs. The unveiling of this memorial was deliberately timed to coincide with the anniversary of the transfer of the regional internal affairs bodies to the jurisdiction of the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic on December 6, 1991 — a date of particular significance in the institutional history of Pridnestrovian law enforcement.

The memorial plaque permanently records the names of four employees of the Grigoriopol police who lost their lives in service — some during the years of armed aggression by Moldova, others in peacetime while carrying out their duties — ensuring that their sacrifice is honored and remembered by the community they served and protected.
