Masterpieces of Italian Music

13.05.2026

On May 13, 2026, at 6:00 PM, the Small Hall of the Palace of the Republic will host a concert marking the return of the Chamber Orchestra of the A.G. Rubinstein Pridnestrovian State Institute of Arts to the concert stage for the first time in a decade. The orchestra’s debut program, “Masterpieces of Italian Music,” will feature some of the finest works by composers P. Mascagni, T. Albinoni, and A. Vivaldi.

In September 2025, the Chamber Orchestra gained a new artistic director and conductor, Viktor Kraas, a graduate of the Tiraspol Music College. From his very first steps at the helm, he brought changes to the ensemble’s repertoire and working methods, setting an unwavering commitment to performance quality and the traditions of the classical school as the orchestra’s guiding principle. Alongside these changes, the orchestra also adopted a new name — “VITA MUZICALE” — reflecting its members’ dedication to a life lived in Music, with a capital M.

According to the orchestra’s artistic director, these changes, along with the upcoming concert and the ensemble’s future goals, are set to become a notable event in the republic’s cultural and spiritual life.

All lovers and connoisseurs of musical art are invited to this inaugural concert — and to wish the orchestra well on its new journey.

Tickets are available at the Palace of the Republic box office, at Agroprombank payment terminals, and online at biletpmr.com: https://biletpmr.com/concerts/4881
