Church of the Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary, Vadaturkovo Village

The village of Vadaturkovo has maintained a place of Orthodox worship since 1784, when the first Church of the Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary was built here. Nearly seven decades later, in 1853, the village received a new and more permanent stone church, made possible through the generous patronage of local landowner Konstantin Kulikovsky, whose financial support ensured this rural community could worship in a substantially built and lasting place of faith.

Dedicated to one of the most beloved feasts of the Orthodox liturgical calendar, this church has served the spiritual needs of Vadaturkovo’s faithful community across more than 170 years since its stone reconstruction — a quiet but enduring testimony to the deep-rooted religious traditions that have shaped village life throughout this part of the Rybnitsa district.
