Countess’s Gazebo

Perched on the edge of a dramatic slope, crowned by the Tower of Winds and positioned beside the historic grape terraces, the Countess’s Gazebo occupies one of the most privileged viewpoints in all of Stroentsy. Built in 1908 by order of Maria Petrovna Zinovieva — granddaughter of Prince Pyotr Khristianovich Wittgenstein — this elegant structure continues a long aristocratic tradition of creating beautiful spaces for contemplation within the Wittgenstein estate’s remarkable landscape.

From the gazebo, visitors are rewarded with a breathtaking panoramic view encompassing the Dniester River, the village below and the sweeping countryside beyond — a vista that has remained essentially unchanged since the Countess first commissioned this peaceful retreat more than a century ago.
