The name “Greenhouse” reflects the characteristic warmth of these natural springs, which maintain a relatively constant temperature throughout the year regardless of the season.

The springs hold particular spiritual significance for the local Orthodox community: for many years, a cherished tradition has seen the faithful gather here on January 19 — the Orthodox holiday of Epiphany — for the blessing of the waters. This annual ceremony transforms the springs into a place of genuine religious devotion and community gathering, adding a meaningful layer of spiritual heritage to what is already a naturally beautiful and historically significant site within the Stroentsy landscape.
