KVINT — an abbreviation standing for “Cognacs, Wines and Drinks of Tiraspol” — is without question the most celebrated name in Pridnestrovian winemaking, producing over 20 million bottles of divins, wines, vodkas and gins every year. The distillery’s story began in 1897 with the establishment of a wine warehouse in Tiraspol, and more than a century of accumulated expertise shines through in every bottle that leaves the plant.
Approximately 25,000 oak barrels fill KVINT’s legendary storage facilities, where wines age anywhere from 3 to an extraordinary 60 years. The distillery’s divins draw on distillates crafted from both French grape varieties and locally selected cultivars, creating drinks with a distinctively national character that sets them apart from anything produced elsewhere. The enterprise maintains its own raw material base across 2,000 hectares of vineyards, cultivating more than 30 grape varieties — a wealth of raw material that allows skilled winemakers to craft exceptional still and sparkling wines from carefully hand-picked and meticulously selected berries, their elegant color, vivid fruit and berry bouquet and refined taste consistently captivating connoisseurs around the world.
Visitors can experience KVINT’s complete product line through guided plant tours, exploring the historic facilities — from the aging cellars lined with row upon row of oak barrels to comfortable tasting rooms where expert guides introduce guests to the finest divins and wines this legendary enterprise produces.
