Concert in Memory of People’s Artist of the PMR Alexander Efimovich Galatan

The program will showcase some of the most celebrated numbers from the repertoire of the Pridnestrovian State Dance and Folk Music Ensemble “Viorica,” including audience favorites such as “Dniester Dawns,” the “Gypsy” suite, “Dance de Codru,” and “Dance cu Strigături.” The evening will also feature a suite for the nai performed by Petru Burghilă, Honored Artist of the PMR, along with folk vocal soloists Carolina Nafranița, Kristina Chelyadnik, and Silvia Osipova.

Guest performers include Nadezhda Ciobanu of Tiraspol (vocals), folk singers Vasily Chibotari, Anzhela Arsenii, Ion Osadci, and Nikolai Pascari, the brass ensemble from the village of Zaim (Căușeni) under conductor Ion Vesti, and trumpeters Oleg Savenko (Tiraspol), Vladimir Galatan (Bendery), Alexander Galatan (Tiraspol), Oleg Ninicu, violinists Vladimir Galatan and Victor Prepeliță (Chișinău).
