Festive Program for Tiraspol Liberation Day

Tiraspol will mark the anniversary of its liberation from Nazi occupation on April 9.

The day’s program includes:

• A flower-laying ceremony at 10:00 AM at the Memorial of Glory
• A track-and-field relay race held downtown from 11:00 AM to 2:00 PM, with teams from law enforcement, schoolchildren, students, and representatives of labor collectives and public organizations. The race starts near the “Tiraspol” cinema
• An exhibition titled “Sacred Memory of Years Past,” opening at the A.S. Pushkin Central City Library, open daily from 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM through April 13
• A concert titled “Memory. Courage. Unity!” featuring local performing groups at the “Veteran” club
• A “Soldier’s Rest Stop” event starting at 3:00 PM at the stadiums of city schools No. 5, No. 8, and No. 18, featuring games, contests, an exhibition of model aircraft, and hands-on workshops
