Lavender Festival in Pervomaysk

Pervomaysk will host its second Lavender Festival on June 14, in the local recreation park where the town’s field of soft purple blooms is located. The event promises something for children and adults alike.

Festivities begin at 4:00 PM, with a summery atmosphere created by local performing groups, artists from Tiraspol and Slobodzeya, and young students from the arts school. Local craftspeople will showcase their work at a decorative arts exhibition, and children can enjoy a dedicated games program.

The festival will also welcome animals from the “Zveropolis” petting zoo — coatis, monkeys, goats, and other exotic creatures that visitors can hold and photograph — along with horses from the “Allure” equestrian club.

For those who work up an appetite, there will be shashlik, homemade baked goods, and fragrant honey for sale.

The evening wraps up at 9:00 PM with a colorful fireworks display.
