The company’s roots stretch back to the early 1920s, when a cooperative artel was established on the grounds of a pre-revolutionary distillery. The Second World War brought severe damage and looting to the facility, but by 1946 the winery had been fully rebuilt and quickly scaled up production. By the 1965 wine season, the plant processed over 40,000 tons of grapes — a record among wine industry enterprises throughout the entire USSR. The Buket Moldavii label became a household name across the Soviet Union, with bottles bearing this trademark reaching nearly every corner of that vast country.

KVINT — an abbreviation standing for “Cognacs, Wines and Drinks of Tiraspol” — ranks among the most celebrated names in Pridnestrovian winemaking, producing over 20 million bottles of divins, wines, vodkas and gins every single year. The distillery’s story began in 1897 with the construction of a wine warehouse in Tiraspol, and today the company’s storage facilities hold approximately 25,000 oak barrels, where wines age anywhere from 3 to an extraordinary 60 years.

What sets KVINT apart is its mastery of blending — distillates for divin crafted from both French grape varieties and locally selected cultivars come together to produce drinks with a truly distinctive national character.
