Buket Moldavii plant

Buket Moldavii stands as one of the most celebrated trademarks not only in Dubossary district but across the entire Republic. The brand’s extensive portfolio spans more than 60 varieties of alcoholic beverages crafted from authentic recipes — flavored vermouths, table and sparkling wines, fruit liqueurs, herbal infusions and aged divins ranging from 3 to 8 years. Beyond spirits, the enterprise also produces healthy herbal teas, all sourced exclusively from natural raw materials grown across the plant’s impressive 500 hectares of vineyards.

The company’s roots stretch back to the early 1920s, when a cooperative artel was established on the grounds of a pre-revolutionary distillery. The Second World War brought severe damage and looting to the facility, but by 1946 the winery had been fully rebuilt and quickly scaled up production. By the 1965 wine season, the plant processed over 40,000 tons of grapes — a record among wine industry enterprises throughout the entire USSR. The Buket Moldavii label became a household name across the Soviet Union, with bottles bearing this trademark reaching nearly every corner of that vast country.

KVINT — an abbreviation standing for “Cognacs, Wines and Drinks of Tiraspol” — ranks among the most celebrated names in Pridnestrovian winemaking, producing over 20 million bottles of divins, wines, vodkas and gins every single year. The distillery’s story began in 1897 with the construction of a wine warehouse in Tiraspol, and today the company’s storage facilities hold approximately 25,000 oak barrels, where wines age anywhere from 3 to an extraordinary 60 years.

What sets KVINT apart is its mastery of blending — distillates for divin crafted from both French grape varieties and locally selected cultivars come together to produce drinks with a truly distinctive national character. The enterprise maintains its own raw material base of 2,000 hectares of vineyards, cultivating more than 30 grape varieties. This wealth and diversity of material gives the winemakers everything they need to craft exceptional still and sparkling wines from carefully hand-picked, meticulously selected berries — wines whose elegant color, vivid fruit and berry bouquet and refined taste continue to captivate connoisseurs around the world.

KVINT operates as a complete, full-cycle enterprise: sprawling vineyards, industrial grape-processing lines, state-of-the-art fermentation and distillation equipment, premium branded barrels, cooling and filtration systems, and modern bottling facilities all work together under one roof. Regular tours and tastings welcome visitors onto the factory grounds, where guests can explore the company’s own in-house museum and dive deep into the history of one of the oldest wineries in the region. Endless rows of oak barrels stretch before visitors, while experienced guides lead tastings of wines and divins in comfortable, atmospheric tasting rooms.

A fascinating footnote to this legendary winery’s story: cognac from Tiraspol has found its way to the Vatican — and even into space!

Kislov Winery

The Kislov family winery proves that great wine doesn’t require vast estates — just a single hectare of fertile land, home to roughly three thousand carefully tended grape bushes, is all it takes to create something truly special. This modern and inviting boutique winery stands as an attractive oasis within the broader wine country of Pridnestrovie, where intimacy and craftsmanship take center stage over scale.

Every bottle produced on this estate embodies the genuine charm of small-batch winemaking, with wines that showcase remarkable balance and elegance. It’s a testament to the family’s dedication: grapes grown with real care, combined with the winemakers’ refined skill, come together to produce wines that have won over consumers from their very first vintage — a reputation built not on size, but on heart and craft in every glass.
